EMPI VW Disc Brake Kit, Front, 5x130/5x4.75, Drop Spindle
One of the best upgrades you can do for your Bug or Ghia is to convert the old drum brakes to disc brakes. While converting your brake system this kit from EMPI will also lower your car up to 2.5" while still giving you a smooth ride since the suspension stays in the factory location. This kit comes with drop spindles that convert your car to a ball joint spindle point and uses late model Ghia style brake rotors. This rotor comes with two lug patterns 5x130mm Porsche with M14-1.5 threaded holes and 5x4.75" Chevy with M12-1.5 threaded holes. Wheel studs are not included.

Installation Note: This kit CAN NOT be used with Backing Plates! Drop spindles will widen the track 1/4″ per side and approximately 5/8" overall. Must be used with 15" or larger wheels. This kit does not include Grease Caps. (See Related Products) WARNING! It is extremely important that brake lines be installed by a trained mechanic. Proper length of each line in relation to wheel travel and steering angle is critical to avoid brake failure. Equally important is brake lines must be free flowing and have no contamination. Additionally, all calipers must be bled properly, regardless of kit purchased.
