EMPI VW Disc Brake Kit, Front, 5x205mm, Bolt-On
This EMPI bolt-on disc brake kit will convert the front brakes on a 1955-63 Type 2 Bus from drum brakes to disc brakes. The kit comes complete with all the parts required to convert your stock drum brakes to disc brakes for better stopping performance. This kit uses a heavy duty brake caliper bracket that bolts to a stock drum spindle. The kit will retain your 5x205mm lug pattern and can be used with stock lug bolts or screw-in studs for aftermarket wheels. This kit will clear stock 14" steel Bus wheels, and most and aftermarket 15" wide-5 VW wheels.

Installation Note: This kit will not work with EMPI drop spindles. This kit will need some modifications to the grease cap when using some aftermarket wheels. This kit will narrow the front width slightly. The master cylinder does not have a residual valve and must use the inline check valve supplied with the kit for the rear drum brakes.
Application Note: This kit will fit left hand or right hand drive model Buses. This kit will work for all right hand drive Bus models. Please verify your application before purchase to ensure this part is correct for your project.
