PMO Induction, renowned for their expertise in classic Porsche performance, introduces their latest innovation: Electronic Fuel Injection Throttle Body Kits designed for air-cooled, six-cylinder Porsches. These kits extend PMO's legacy of enhancing these iconic vehicles, offering a modern fuel delivery solution that mirrors the adaptability of their acclaimed carburetors. Compatible across all flat-six Porsche engines spanning from 1965 to 1998, these EFI throttle bodies promise to elevate tunability, sharpen throttle response, and optimize fuel efficiency. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, each unit is precision CNC machined and hand-assembled in Anaheim, California, utilizing premium aerospace-grade materials. To cater to diverse preferences and aesthetic requirements, the throttle bodies are offered in 40mm, 46mm, and 50mm sizes, with options for natural aluminum or black anodized "R" finishes, the latter providing a vintage, period-correct appearance.
Engineered for longevity and performance, the kits incorporate sealed ball bearings and a one-piece throttle shaft, ensuring consistent alignment and superior throttle response. The design emphasizes ultra-precise air/fuel metering for enhanced performance, complemented by tapered 52mm throats that significantly improve airflow. Billet fuel rails accommodate Bosch-style injectors, featuring 3/4” x 16 TPI female threads. Designed for seamless integration, these throttle bodies are a direct fit on PMO manifolds and throttle linkages, utilizing extended arms, and are compatible with PMO water shields or ITG high-performance air filters. They also offer broad compatibility with various EFI control systems, including Haltech, Megasquirt, and MoTeC. For installation and tuning specifics, consultation with an EFI controller supplier or engine builder is recommended. Notably, a universal high-pressure fuel pump, rated at 60 psi, is required when converting from carburetors. It is important to remember that intake manifolds, fuel injectors, and TPS are shown for illustrative purposes only and are not included within the kit.
