A jet nut, also known as a k-nut, is a special type of hex nut that is commonly used in the automotive industry. Jet nuts have the smallest possible wrenching pattern to fit those really tight spots where larger size of other nuts are impossible to reach. The small locking impression adds security to the application without distortion to the flange nut dimensions. All Metal Self-Locking Copper Automotive Exhaust Nuts are made from Class 10 material and coated with heavy copper plating to act as anti-galling. Copper plating can be used in temperatures ranges from -94°F to +752°F.
